Every contributor a verified attorney

About LexPosts

LexPosts is an independent publication that explains the law in plain English. We publish two kinds of articles, and we always show which is which:

  • Contributor articles, written by licensed attorneys under their own name and attached to a profile showing where they practise and what they are licensed to do.
  • Editorial guides, written by the LexPosts Editorial Team to answer common legal questions. Our editors are not lawyers. A guide carries a “Legally reviewed by” note only when a verified attorney has actually reviewed it.

LexPosts is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

Why we exist

When people search for answers to legal questions, they usually find content with no clear author, or articles written by marketers rather than lawyers. Legal decisions affect people’s money, families and freedom, so who wrote the advice matters. We built LexPosts so readers can see exactly who is behind every article.

How we verify our authors

Before an attorney’s first article is published, our editors check their bar admission against the public records of the state bar where they are licensed. Authors who pass carry a Verified attorney badge. We keep bar numbers private; we only use them to confirm good standing.

How articles are reviewed

Every contributor submission is read by an editor for accuracy, clarity and usefulness before it goes live. Editorial guides are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools and edited by our team, and we invite verified attorneys to review them. We do not publish thin or promotional content. Read our editorial guidelines for the full standard.

Important

Articles on LexPosts are general information, not legal advice, and reading them does not create an attorney-client relationship. See our legal disclaimer.
