This policy explains what personal information LexPosts.com (“LexPosts”, “we”) collects, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Readers: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) and, if enabled, privacy-friendly analytics. We do not require readers to create accounts.
- Authors: the details you provide when you submit an article or edit your profile: name, email, firm, licensed states, bar number, biography, photo and links.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
How we use it
- To operate and secure the website.
- To verify author bar admissions and review submissions. Bar numbers are used only for verification and are never published.
- To display author profiles you have asked us to publish.
- To reply to you.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (such as our web host and email provider), or where required by law.
Cookies
See our cookie policy.
Retention
Author profiles remain while the author’s articles are published. Declined submissions and their author data are deleted within 12 months. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to remove your author profile, by emailing hello@lexposts.com. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law) you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
